“Dance and film are made for each other!“
Founded in 2009, the Dance Film Festival is a biennial focused on the presentation of dance films, from dance documentaries to innovative recordings of dance pieces and, most importantly, the genre of dance for camera. The festival is a presenting and producing body and an institution to support the creation of dance films. Next edition will take place in 2021.
31 films from all over the world at DFFP
We’re done! We watched all the films and selected 31 finalists out of 1519 films. We are overjoyed to offer you a really strong selection. This year’s competition is all top notch films. You don’t get to see that many great dance films very often! We are thrilled that five of those films were made by Czechs. Believe us, it’s going to be hard to choose your favourite. Two years ago, our audience demonstrated exquisite taste when the first-ever Dance Film Festival audience award went to Alexander Ekman and T. M. Rives for Ekman’s Concise Guide to Natural Movement. Do you remember?
